Printz-award winning author A.S. King will be at BHS on Monday, Nov. 16! Click the link in your announcement email to sign up for the author visit. It will be during 3rd block and students will be excused to attend on a first come, first serve basis. Both students who already enjoy reading and students who do not already enjoy reading are encouraged to sign up.

Students who are taking the PSAT October 14th--the pre-administration session will be TODAY during pride in the commons. You are required to attend if you are taking the test.

Here's a reminder for upcoming Pride Sessions related to Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Thursday 9/24 is Hope In Action: Arts & Crafts projects with messages of hope/positivity. Everyone is welcome and sign up under Mrs Hilton-Cullum's activity.
Ms. Mitola will hold National History Day (NHD) pride sessions on both Mondays AND Fridays now. Don't worry! Comic Circle will still meet on Mondays too. All sessions will be held in the library. HOSA Hosted PRIDE - Tuesday, September 29th - Sign up for Dr. A. Roeder's PRIDE Write Notes for Local Patients currently fighting Breast Cancer and Doc will drop them off for the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Seniors, as part of your high school graduation requirement, you must take and pass the Iowa Civics Exam. The social studies dept. will be hosting a weekly testing session to help you with this requirement. Mr. Hornaday will be hosting a session on Tuesday, September 29th. Sign up Now!
